August 2008 figures

In August 2008, the number of spam messages received by all our customers represented 92.11% of the total volume of messages received. The percentage of spam received is still rising: the average spam rate over the last 6 months (February to July 2008) was 86.89%. The number of viruses received remained unchanged at 0.34% of total volume.

The false positive rate generated in August 2008 remains below 2 per 1 million. As for the filtering rate, it has again improved, rising above 99.3%, with a false-negative rate of less than 0.7%.
